Ten Hand-Painted Porcelain Plaques with Alpine Landscapes by T. Krause, Early 20th Century.

A group of ten hand-painted porcelain plaques depicting Alpine landscapes from Austria, Switzerland and southern Germany, each signed “T. Krause”. The plaques show various scenic mountain views including alpine meadows, lakes, forest landscapes and village scenes characteristic of the Alpine region. Titles written on the reverse identify the locations. Each plaque is individually hand-painted and a unique piece. The artist was likely a regional porcelain painter working in the Alpine area during the early 20th century, producing landscape views of well-known tourist locations. Porcelain plaques of this type were popular decorative objects during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The plaques are mounted in later decorative frames and include both landscape and portrait orientations. Overall good condition with porcelain plaques intact; later frames with light handling marks.

Dimensions approx. 25 × 17.5 cm each.

Material: Porcelain.
