A small Apulian red-figure oinochoe of elegant proportions, featuring a trefoil mouth, slender neck and single high strap handle rising from the shoulder to the rim. The globular body stands on a distinct ring foot. The vessel is decorated in red-figure technique on a black-gloss ground, with a radiating lancet motif around the shoulder and a continuous laurel band encircling the body, framed by fine horizontal lines. The restrained ornamental scheme, the balanced proportions, well-controlled firing and carefully applied black gloss typical of Magna Graecian production. Intact; minor surface wear and light abrasions consistent with age; no visible restorations. Height 17.5 cm; Diameter 7 cm. Material: Glazed terracotta. From a private collection.
